      no.
not all companies, but certain ones will automatically give you experience since 16 years of age. The experience DOES make a huge difference in price, so to answer the previous person… 1 year DOES make a difference.

For car insurance the most efficient way to get a fantastic quote is do a rate comparison on auto policies. Make sure that you pick similar options with the same limits, auto type, zip code, etc so that all things are a good comparison.

What I usually recommend is an internet comparison quote at http://www.lowratetoday.com since they have top name insurers and can give several prices on auto insurance polices.

THe short answer is no….I am not aware of any that do, but I assume you have found 1 or you wouldn’t have asked the question. Most will use the date that you got your license.

No. Your driving experience starts from the date you passed your test. They will always ask you when did you pass your test.

    5. Michael says:

Yes, you are technically getting experience. The other thing is they don’t check because 1 more year of experience doesn’t effect your rates.

if you live in the UK go for the Pass Plus certificate with a driving school, only 6 lessons and you will save between 15% and 20% on your insurance.
