I need to have medical insurace in order to partipate in a sport at my school, but I never had medical insurance and havent been to a doctor since I was 7. My parents said to just not take a sport so that they dont have to sign me up for any insurance company; which they say is expensive.
Is there a quick/easy/cheap insurance for me (14)?

If your parents can’t afford medical insurance for you, most states have programs that will provide limited coverage for free or at reduced cost. Your parents will have to apply, and they will have to provide proof of their low income.
Talk to the school nurse or someone in your school office about this. They would have information about what you need to do.
If your parents meet certain income requirements, there are affordable programs in most states that cover children. You, as a child, cannot do anything. Your parents have to get the insurance.
because you are only 14, you can get on whatever plan the state provides….like medicade….ect….just go to your local clinic and tell them you want to sign up and they will help you.
good luck
get ur mom to file for all kids or medicade for you !!! at a health dept or DHR
your school should have a sports insurance policy for families that cant afford regular insurance… check with your athletic director, and if they brush you off go to the principal.
Unfortunately medical insurance is expensive, and many families can’t afford it.
If your parents fall into that category there’s not a whole lot you can do other than try to convince them to get some coverage. I used to deal with Blue Shield when I was unemployed. Even so, that was about $40/mo. for very basic coverage. I don’t know what their family plans are like but you could at least have your parents contact them to get a quick quote.
OK, YOU can’t do it, but every school offers VOLUNTARY accident coverage. It costs about $125 A YEAR. So if you have no private health insurance, and no medicaid, that school plan would take care of the problem.
