If you were driving and you are the at fault driver– there is no compensation for your injuries.
The only coverage that would pay anything is Medical Payments coverage. Usually if you have this coverage it is usually for 1000 to 5000. It only pays for medical bills incurred as a result of the accident. It does not pay for lost wages or pain/suffering. It is also not required by law– so you may not have it. You will need to ask the adjuster handling your claim if you have Med Pay coverage.
The reason you can not collect– you were driving — you were at fault — you can’t be liable to yourself. When you are injured in an accident – you sue the at fault driver. You can’t sue yourself.
The reason you had a claim when you were 17 is because you were a passenger and had a claim against the at fault driver.
Sorry, but if you don’t have medical payments coverage, there is nothing your insurance policy can do to help you with your medical expenses.
If you had full coverage, then your insurance will cover your medical bills, and cover any property damage you caused up to your policy’s limits. Anything over that is out of your pocket. You will also have to pay the deductibles for your policy.
