Is ther a board that governs car insurance companies in CA?

I was in an accident (was hit and run) and my insurance is saying it was my fault. I tried to dispute with them but am going nowhere. There must be someplace else to go for help dealing with them. Your help is GREATLY appreciated.

Every state has a department of insurance, where you can file a complaint against an insurance company. Here’s the link: http://www.insurance.ca.gov/
On the right, under quick links for consumers, there is an option for filing a complaint.

Yes, there is the California Department of Insurance. However, if they have denied a claim, there usually isn’t much the state can do. You would have to go to court yourself and sue the company.

You can go to The california insurance commissioner and file a complaint but I doubt it will do much good. Insurance companies are allowed (required) to determine fault as to liability for repairs to a vehicle after an accident. Police determine fault for traffic violations. Were you issued a citation from the police? If you were, the insurance company takes that into consideration when they make their decision
