Cheap car insurance for a 17yr old female, help!?

Right havent passed yet but been looking as I had last year, last year the cheapest I found was with Quinn-insurance on a Seat Arosa 1.0 2000 3DR, which was something like £700 for Third Party F&T. Now ive been looking everywere, on compare the market, confused, elephant etc and its all like 1500 for Third party F&T and well over 2000 for fully comp urgh I cant believe its gone up so much, cheapest ive found so far is with tesco for third party is £1300, which i still think is alot! I no with Quinn it was trying to break into the car insurance market and well obviously got in, is there any other companies that are taking there route? I know it was really cheap and nice.

Im not sure if its an arosa I want I did want a yaris 1.0 but thats like 1600 on tesco now , its either..

Seat Arosa 1.0
Peugot 206 1.0
Toyota Yaris 1.0
Renault clio 1.1
Citreon Saxo 1.0

But cheapest one ive seen so far is for the Arosa, anyone got any companies I could try quote for??

Also another question, I know i cant pay monthly as im 17, however would high insurance groups like directline allow my mum to pay monthly but in my name? and then i can just pay her directly.. is that possible? or even with tesco?

Hi,

I've passed my driving test today and i'm looking for cheap insurance or reasonable quotes.

The cheapest quote i can find is between £3000-£4000 for Nissan Micra 1.2 & Daweoo Matiz'z.

Is their any insurance companies you can recommend that provide reasonable quotes to newly passed drivers.

I would greatly appreciate it

My brother recently gave me his car. I'm trying to find a good-cheap insurance.

One way / Full coverage.

Car type: 1994 Lexus ES 300. I'm 19; and had my DL since March 2010 (almost 1 year)

Is car insurance really suppose to be this high priced?

I am 16 years old and my parents want too buy me a Nissan 350z but the only problem is the insurance is ,200 every 6 months. I know im yound and its a sports car but is it really suppose to be that high priced? We have checked in many big car insurance companies but they all seem too be around at the same price for full comverage. Is there any company anyone knows of that isnt at such an outrageous price? & is this normal that its so high?

Cost to repair dent in this ’02 Chevy Cavalier?

Recently got into a little accident while I was backing out of a parking space, wasn't paying attention and the front left of my bumper nudged into the rear passenger side door of the car parked next to me. I opted to settle outside of insurance since being a younger driver still my rates would go through the roof. She took it into a couple local shops and the cheapest quote she got was 00 which seemed pretty astronomical for the damage done.. The police officer present said the damage probably wouldn't cost me more than 0 and everyone agreed it was minor. You can imagine my shock when she called and gave me the estimate. The car is a 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier, it says brown on her insurance but I would say more of a silver, either way you can see it in the pictures. All we really have around here are Mom & Pop garages, so can someone tell me if the prices she was quoted are accurate or should I take the pictures to a franchise in a bigger town and see what they ask for the job? I realize I am completely at fault here, I just want to make sure I'm not getting screwed around so can someone actually look at the pictures and let me know if 00 is a reasonable price to pay for the damage?

I was considering the junkyard idea as it seems like a good one to me, but since this woman agreed to settle out of insurance with me doesn't it mean she has the right to choose which garage she takes it to? She seems nice but I don't think she would be down with the idea of getting some old door from a junkyard and slapping it on there. They're from a part of town that isn't too well off, she's 43 years old and works full time at McDonald's, so as normal as this car is, it's probably her pride and joy so she wants it to be exactly like it was before I hit it, which I suppose is not that unreasonable.

It asked:

So I answered:

As above, you will definitely not get cheap insurance on any car, especially if you are a man. I wouldn't expect to see much change from £1000 on any car. That said, there are a few sites you might want to try i.e.

Does that constitute a violation as I was only answering a question I provided links as an example, I have used the insurance company when I was a student & the only other link I provided was to a google search that I had done.

With reference to badhabyt thanx for the advice (I gave a thumbs up for it too ), I did actually provide the google link though, I deleted the HTTP:// parts of the link for the purposes of the question though which is why the links don't work now.

I am confuse. Can you help? What is the cheapest car insurance company? I keep getting different quotes, rangeing between 300-500 dollars a month, which is a little bit insane.
